Katia Grubisic est une écrivaine, éditrice et traductrice canadienne, née en 1978 à Toronto. Elle est formée en littératures et titulaire d’une maîtrise de l’Université Concordia. Elle est l’auteure d’un recueil de poésie, What if red ran out, qui a gagné le Gerald Lampert Memorial Award. Ses poèmes et ses œuvres de fictions sont parus dans diverses revues et anthologies. Elle a été en nomination pour le Prix du Gouverneur général, pour sa traduction du roman Frères de David Clerson.
Ed Pien est né à Taipei, Taiwan en 1958. Il immigre avec sa famille au Canada à l’âge de onze ans. En 1984 il obtient une maîtrise en arts visuels de l’université York à Toronto. Ayant fait l’objet de nombreuses expositions, ses œuvres ont notamment été présentées au Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal, au Drawing Center à New York et au Centro Nacional de las Artes à México. Née d’un amalgame d’influences issues de l’orient et de l’occident, l’œuvre de Ed Pien est ancrée dans la pratique du dessin. Ses créations prennent souvent la forme d’installations complexes de grand format au cœur desquelles le spectateur déambule. Les œuvres de l’artiste sont incluses dans d’importantes collections internationales, notamment celles de la Galerie nationale du Canada, du Museo de arte y deseno contemporaneo du Costa Rica, et de la Fundacion Antoni Tapies, en Espagne. Ed Pien vit et travaille à Toronto.

Katia Grubisic is a Canadian writer, editor and translator, born in 1978 in Toronto. She is trained in literature and holds a master's degree from Concordia University. She is the author of a collection of poetry, What if red ran out, which won the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award. Her poems and fictional works have appeared in various journals and anthologies. She was nominated for the Governor General's Award, for her translation of the novel Frères by David Clerson.
Born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1958, Ed Pien immigrated to Canada at the age of eleven. He received a Master of Fine Arts from York University in Toronto in 1984. His work has been the focus of numerous national and international exhibitions in such notable institutions as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, The Drawing Center in New York, the Centro Nacional de las Artes in Mexico City and the Goethe Institute in Berlin. Ed Pien’s artwork draws on sources both Eastern and Western. Exploring the convergence of history, beliefs and mythology, his drawing based practice has often included intricate large scale installations that the viewer must enter and wander through. The artist’s work is included in many major collections including the National Galleryof Canada, the Museo de Arte y diseno Contemporaneo, Costa Rica and the Fundacion Antoni Tapies, Barcelona. Ed Pien lives and works in Toronto.
